Customer Service & Digital Print Associate/Technician

This involves interacting with customers to help them select print options & answering print or shop questions, pre-press file preparation, running projects & adjusting output to maximize quality and desired result, finishing by trimming/cutting/folding/simple binding (coil, comb, saddle-stitch)/mounting/laminating/etc., packaging orders for customer pickup or preparing for shipping/delivery. *** For full listing and application form: https://printstores.com/index.php/connectwithus/about- pcp#jobs*** TYPICAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - TRAINING AVAILABLE Answer customer questions and help them submit quotes and make print decisions Answer phone, web, and in-person inquiries about services and make recommendations Use online tools to track, document, and process projects through print shop workflow (we use our own website software, google mail, and Trello -- training provided) Set up print projects for best quality printing using graphic design, publishing, and printing software (specifically we use Adobe Creative Cloud and EFI Fiery Tools -- training provided) Print customer projects using digital presses or wide format inkjet printers Finish print projects including trimming, cutting (using manual guillotine cutter), folding, and hole-punching Provide price quotes based on customer requirements and internal pricing methodology Open or close the shop alone 4-6 times per week Manage the shop production solo or with team members Help maintain a clean and safe working environment (e.g. keeping machines dust-free, taking any safety precautions for preventing COVID spread, cleaning & sanitizing surfaces as required) Work at our primary Capitol Hill shop location; partial work from home/remote working possible (or required depending on COVID restrictions) Support & add to our internal culture by actively participating in our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEI&A;) strategic plan Contribute to a consistent customer service standard in accordance with our DEI&A; goals Work to ensure the foundation of customer service in our culture is reflected both within our team and outward to our customers and vendors Commit to participating actively in anti-racism work, learning about the ways institutional racism impacts the workplace, and supporting teammates in operationalizing DEI&A; strategies in the company *** For full listing and application form: https://printstores.com/index.php/connectwithus/about- pcp#jobs*** QUALIFICATIONS OR HELPFUL EXPERIENCE Detail oriented; sounds like a cliché, but it’s super helpful if you nerd out on nuance, notice the small things, and like to make sure that everything is right before you call it done Reliable & able to show up on time consistently Interest and enthusiasm for learning and teaching/sharing, particularly about the print industry Patience and energy for helping customers with a wide spectrum of print knowledge Desire to work collaboratively with a small team combined with ability to work independently Vaccinations against COVID-19 and willingness to be in compliance with all shop safety requirements including masking and minimal contact for customers, depending on level of necessary precautions OTHER APPLICABLE EXPERIENCE Below are helpful or standard qualifications or experience, *not requirements*.
