Senior Graphic DesignerDeaconess Health System | Marketing & Creative ServicesPosition SummaryThe Senior Graphic Designer plays a key role in shaping and maintaining the visual identity of Deaconess Health System across all platforms. This position leads the design and execution of strategic, high-impact creative solutions that support organizational goals, enhance patient engagement, and elevate brand consistency.As a member of the Creative Services team, this individual brings advanced design expertise, creative leadership, and a strong understanding of healthcare communications to guide projects from concept through completion.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of creative assets across print, digital, environmental, and multimedia platformsTranslate complex healthcare concepts into clear, engaging, and visually compelling materialsMaintain and evolve brand standards to ensure consistency across all departments and touchpointsCollaborate with marketing strategists, service line leaders, and internal stakeholders to deliver effective creative solutionsServe as a creative lead on major campaigns, initiatives, and system-wide communicationsMentor and provide guidance to junior designers and team membersReview and provide constructive feedback on design work to ensure quality and alignment with brand standardsManage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStay current with design trends, tools, and best practices, particularly in healthcare marketingQualificationsBachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field5-8+ years of professional design experienceStrong portfolio demonstrating a range of design work, including campaign development and brand applicationExpert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); familiarity with digital tools and platformsStrong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchyExperience designing for both print and digital environmentsExcellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skillsAbility to think strategically while executing at a high creative levelPreferred QualificationsExperience in healthcare, hospital, or regulated industry marketingFamiliarity with accessibility standards (ADA compliance, inclusive design)Experience with video, motion graphics, or web design (UX/UI)Knowledge of content management systems and digital marketing platformsKey CompetenciesCreative leadership and strategic thinkingAttention to detail and commitment to qualityStrong project management and organizational skillsAbility to balance creativity with brand and regulatory requirementsCollaborative mindset with a service-oriented approachWhy Join Deaconess?At Deaconess Health System, your work directly supports patient care and community health.
