The Design Assistant collaborates closely with the Design Director, Lead Designers, and Director of Operations to fulfill day-to-day responsibilities and contribute to the overall success of the team. Review project correspondence to stay current on design details and project updates.Support Lead Designer in maintaining CAD drawings.Support Lead Designer in maintaining line-item furniture investments.Support Lead Designer in maintaining client presentation.Organize and prepare client presentation materials.Ensure all furnishing selections are appropriate for the project based on scale, lead time, and budget.Source furnishings, lighting, fabrics, and materials under the direction of the Lead Designer.Request pricing for approved furnishings and enter all items into Studio Designer with complete item details, client descriptions, and required documentation.Prepare and maintain construction schedules.Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date within each client file.Order, track, and organize project memos, ensuring all required items are received prior to client meetings.Prepare materials for site visits and meetings with builders, subcontractors, and vendors.Take detailed notes during client meetings and site visits; save notes to the client folder and create action items.Provide support during installations and deliveries.Participate in marketing requests, vendor meetings, professional development opportunities, vendor events, and company events.Meet a minimum average annual utilization target of 30 billable hours per week after onboarding period Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred1-2 years of professional experience in interior design, construction, architecture, or a related field preferredAbility to work full-time from our Charleston, SC studioProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite required, experience with Studio Designer, Adobe Photoshop, and other design platforms preferredExceptionally organized, dependable, and self-motivated with outstanding time management and follow-throughStrong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all workThrives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong collaborator with the ability to work effectively across teams and departmentsProfessional demeanor with a commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience
