STUDIO COLLINS WEIR is seeking a RESIDENTIAL DESIGN ASSISTANT with 2+ years of experience to join our team. Our guiding belief is that good design, rendered in simple forms and honest materials makes peoples lives better. The most important tool we have to realize and deliver great work is our team. This person will have 2+ years experience in the field of residential interior design. Further, the Design Assistants are responsible for general office and design duties including sourcing, coordination, drafting, organizing and maintaining the studios fabric, materials and imagery libraries Design Support: · Sourcing and shopping for project fabric, finish and material options · Sourcing furniture and accessories, confirming pricing and availability · Gathering inspiration images for specific projects and studio library · Composing mood boards · Drafting furniture plans and elevations · Creating budgets, schedules and specifications · Maintaining project binders Maintain fabric and materials library: · Filing and organizing fabrics and materials · Shopping at and returning samples to the design center · Coordinating vendor presentations for new products and materials · Distributing new cool and relevant product information to design teams · Maintaining vendor relationships Required skills: Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture Minimum of 2 years Interior Design experience Proficiency in Vectorworks or AutoCAD and Sketchup Clearly demonstrated graphic presentation skills Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop Experience specifying furniture, lighting, materials, and finishes.
