Sugar Hollow Solar is hiring a Design Specialist! This key position is responsible for creating accurate system designs for residential projects based on site analysis, including roof conditions and shading, to meet Sugar Hollow Solar clients energy needs. In addition, the Design Specialist collaborates with project teams to ensure code-compliant installations and provides technical support during installation and commissioning, including troubleshooting as needed. Our ideal candidate brings strong foundational knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery storage, solid experience with solar design, drafting or a related field to the position and believes in the power of renewable energy! • Ensures designs meet all applicable codes, utility interconnection requirements and jurisdictional permitting standards • Creates detailed project documentation, including the system electrical diagram, installation plan set and installation instructions • Collaborates with internal stakeholders (design, sales, procurement, pre-construction) to ensure proper design, profitability and installability of Sugar Hollow Solar systems • Provides technical support during installations and commissioning and helps to troubleshoot any issues that may arise • Assist the Proposal Design Specialist as needed • Assist the Design & Engineering Manager with special projects as needed.
