Designer, 4+ Years

ARG is an interdisciplinary practice of architects, historians, and conservators dedicated to giving new life to historic and existing places. We work in a wide variety of sectors and building types including residential, hospitality, national and state parks, cultural and performing arts, higher education, and civic projects. ARG’s overarching design philosophy is that the adaptation of existing buildings creates sustainable, equitable places that tell our collective stories and enliven communities.

We are looking for a talented and well-rounded Junior Designer to join our dynamic and collaborative Los Angeles office.

What you will do:

·        Support project teams through all phases of design, documentation, and construction administration

·        Prepare design concepts, presentations, and project documentation

·        Coordinate work with interdisciplinary project teams and consultants

·        Contribute to the preparation of design and construction documents

·        Balance multiple assignments while maintaining quality and responsiveness

·        Communicate effectively with clients and team members

Your qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited school of Architecture

·        4+ years’ professional experience preferred

·        Interest in historic preservation, adaptive reuse, or existing buildings

·        Strong design, graphic, written, and verbal communication skills

·        Ability to develop design concepts and prepare project documentation

·        Ability to manage multiple assignments and work collaboratively

·        Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office

·        Creative problem solver with a collaborative and positive approach

Salary range: $70–$85K , commensurate with experience.
