Do you have an eye for HOME COLORS and HOME TRENDS? Do you have EXPERIENCE DESIGNING home textile products? We are a home textile company looking for a Designer who can design and develop TEXTILE PRODUCTS FOR THE HOME. RESPONSIBILITIES Design and develop new products from concept through fruition Keep accurate records and detailed copies of all working samples Travel domestically and internationally to sourcing trade shows, mills and factories (when travel is allowed post-Covid) Conduct competitive market research and trend watch; present trend boards, market research data Demonstrate real understanding of our brand by bridging just the right designs, colors, and fabrications SKILLS Must be able to work with team and management effectively to communicate vision Must be able to demonstrate professionalism during design review meetings Work well with graphic artist to bring new designs to fruition Must be able to create sketches to convey design concepts, Photoshop, Illustrator Capable of creating original art -- hand sketching, drawing, painting (canvas, paper, screen), use Photoshop, and Illustrator to create a variety of icons and art Strong comprehension and sharp eye for the mass and middle markets Possess a very good understanding of textiles and how they can be manipulated and modified Must have solid working knowledge of fabrics Create accurate spec sheets SUCCESS FACTORS Professionally manage through critical feedback during product development and design review process Innate passion for well decorated homes and the items that bring them together Pride yourself on the quality of your work and not overlook the details Good eye for colors and trends Must be very detail oriented and proactive in every step of the process.
