Designer I Requisition Post Information* : Posted Date 1 day ago(8/17/2026 12:55 PM) Requisition ID 2026-30322 Category (Portal Searching) Engineering Requisition Type (Portal Searching) Regular Full-Time Overview The Designer I will be responsible for the design, development, and release of design models and prints for battery cells, modules and packs for customized applications in the government, military, aerospace, and other specialty, high-performance market segments. This position exists in a temperature-controlled environment. Responsibilities Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures Generate innovative detailed design concepts Check part and assembly drawings, perform and document tolerance stack-up analysis, and implement GD&T on assembly and part drawings Creation of models, prints, and BOM for design in a revision-controlled state throughout the development and production launch process Perform upfront FEA analysis using SolidWorks Simulation software Define critical characteristics and inspection criteria for incoming components, assemblies, and final assemblies. Responsible for meeting team targets and key performance indicators Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team. Proficient in SolidWorks CAD software Proficient in the application of GD&T for component and assembly prints and specifications Practical experience in the design and application of structural parts fabricated from a variety of means such as molding, casting, machining, and additive manufacturing Experience in BOM management and release of drawings in a PDM or document control system Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and visual Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel Battery system product development experience Phase-gate style product development process experience Upfront FEA experience using Silkworks Simulation tools Experience in the design of product involving electrical assemblies Design for Six Sigma project experience Options Apply for this job onlineApply Share Email this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
