Note: This role is on-site in NYC Tuesdays-Thursdays and approx. 20 hours/week.
Position Overview
The Print/Graphics Designer is responsible for supporting the design and development of all-over prints, graphics, and surface artwork across multiple private label and branded intimate apparel collections. This role plays a critical part in translating seasonal concepts and brand identities into compelling artwork that resonates with a diverse customer base across business channels.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Development
Assist in creating original, brand-appropriate print and graphic designs for use across various product categories including bras, panties, sleepwear, and lounge.Support Design in developing seasonal print direction, color palettes, and trend boards.Research and interpret trends to inform fresh, relevant surface design concepts tailored to customer profiles and retailer needs.
Technical Execution
Prepare repeat patterns, engineered layouts, color pitch, and placement graphics for production across a range of garment silhouettes.Maintain artwork libraries, design files, and digital templates in an organized and efficient manner.Create detailed artwork callouts and technical packages in collaboration with the technical design and product development teams.Strong command of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop on Mac is required; familiarity with AI-assisted design tools is a plus
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with design, sourcing, and product development teams to ensure prints and graphics align with costing, production, and delivery timelines.Participate in design reviews and cross-functional meetings as needed to align on product execution.Communicate with print mills or vendors to ensure accuracy in color, scale, and quality during development.
Market Awareness
Stay informed on competitive print and graphic trends across intimates and adjacent fashion categories.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in print and graphic design preferably within apparel or fashion.Strong portfolio demonstrating print and graphic design across multiple product categories.Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop on Mac.Experience with AI-assisted design tools is a plus.Strong understanding of color, scale, repeats, placements, and production-ready artwork.Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Design, Product Development, Sourcing, and external vendors.Knowledge of current fashion, print, and graphic trends, with the ability to translate trends into commercially relevant designs.
