Designer/Illustrator, MS NOW Digital

Company Description Responsibilities • Design, execute, and deliver still and animated graphics within required deadlines • Work closely with digital editorial teams to meet deadlines and fulfill requests • Present creative solutions to editorial needs across all digital platforms • Create reported graphics that help further our reporting, as well as helping to build our styles and guidance for reported graphics • Storyboard and present conceptual designs to the art director, as well as editorial partners across the the site and all digital platforms • Collaborate with the art director and editors on daily visuals as well as long-term project initiatives (After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator) • Intermediate skillset in creating both animated and still frame graphics • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and deliver multiple assignments, with compelling creative solutions • Willingness to work extended hours due to breaking news events • Proficiency with Google Earth Studio, and 3D Map camera tracking within After Effects • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills • Must have a broad knowledge and curiosity about news, and a keen eye for spotting interesting and newsworthy visual content • Understanding and appreciation of the MS NOW brand and mission Editorial / News experience is preferred • A portfolio of relevant work is required for consideration • Capable of quick turnarounds, both animated and still design If you are a qualified individual with a disability or a disabled veteran and require support throughout the application and/or recruitment process as a result of your disability, you have the right to request a reasonable accommodation.
