Development and Communications Officer

Position Summary: The Development & Communications Officer works closely and collaboratively with Philanthropic Services and Community Engagement (CE) to support fundraising through skillful communication, case statement and proposal development, and grant writing. Additionally, the Officer supports a broad variety of communications functions that promote, enhance, and protect the Foundation’s brand and fundraising, including Public Relations, digital marketing, social media publications, media relations, advertising and events. • Genuine appreciation for the mission of the Santa Barbara Foundation and understanding of the issues that challenge the quality of life in Santa Barbara Foundation. • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work within deadlines with acute attention to details. • Occasional travel in a car within Santa Barbara County.
