Development and Outreach Manager

Wild Whatcom seeks a Development and Outreach Manager to work closely with the Executive Director on fundraising, marketing, and outreach. With support from the Executive Director, the Manager will also be responsible for drafting and implementing an outreach and marketing strategy that reflects our values and vision and working to augment our positive presence in the community through outreach and social media. The Manager will be an integral part of the broader Wild Whatcom team and help support our overall mission of fostering a lifelong connection with nature and community. *Support the development of our fundraising event strategy in conjunction with the Executive Director and Board Fundraising Committee (currently we are not organizing fundraising events, but may begin to incorporate them). *Regular paid trainings throughout the year in which all staff can participate including, but not limited to, Risk Management in the Field and wilderness skills trainings ranging from friction fire and carving to plant ID and navigation *Professional development opportunities including paid positions for interested staff to sit on our Risk Management team, Board of Directors, and Board Committees to gain additional experience.
