Digital Designer

Illuminate is a growing, client-focused, full-service training and development firm specializing in delivery of innovative clinical sales training solutions for clients in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries. The Digital Designer will apply strong visual design, motion design, and digital product design skills to create high-impact learning and marketing experiences. This role expands on traditional graphic design responsibilities to include digital, motion, and UI/UX design, requiring fluency across modern design and video tools. A successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team; collaboration with Illuminate project managers, other graphic designers, technology colleagues, partners, and clients is critical to this role. Create original visual media that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified wayChoose graphics, clip art, and stock photography, as appropriateDesign digital experiences including UI layouts, screens, and interactive elements for web-based, LMS, and learning platformsCreate wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design intent and user flowsApply UI/UX best practices, including hierarchy, accessibility, responsiveness, and usabilityCollaborate with learning technology and development teams to ensure designs are feasible and implemented accuratelyCreate and edit motion graphics and video content to support learning experiences, presentations, and digital productsEdit video content, including cutting footage, adding motion graphics, titles, transitions, and audio cleanupDesign UI animations, interactions, and visual transitions for digital experiencesEffectively design, format and edit impactful learning content in PowerPoint slides and notesFormat and edit learning content and leader’s guides in WordUtilize prescribed storyboard and other templatesReview, edit, insert, and format text, graphics, or other materials created by writers and designersSubmit or upload final files for printing or online publishingInteract and collaborate effectively with Illuminate colleagues and partners to best meet the design needs of the client, according to their requirementsAsk clarifying questions to assess the necessary components of the design to meet the needs of the clientRespond in a timely and helpful manner to all requestsMaintain knowledge of design trends relating to applicable programs and technologies
