Digital Designer Job at Art Walker Center in Minneapolis

In our over 125-year history, we have become one of the most celebrated art museums in the country and we are known for our innovative presentations and acclaimed collections of contemporary art across the spectrum of the visual, performing, and media arts. The Digital Designer will be responsible for design and oversite of all digital systems at the Walker Art Center including walkerart.org, electronic communications, environmental and wayfinding systems, and digital publishing for programming areas including Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Moving Image, Education, Marketing and PR, Membership and Development, and Design. The Digital Designer will be in charge of art directing all of the Walker’s digital communications and will lead the front-end design of a revamped walkerart.org, bringing fresh eyes and new solutions, to the platform. WHAT WE NEED IN YOU Minimum Requirements 3+ years of experience in digital design or a related field Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms Experience working with third-party developers and managing digital builds Strong portfolio showcasing web, interactive, and screen-based work Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Interest in contemporary art, design, and cultural production The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this position; they do not purport to describe all functions of the role.
