Compass Marketing is a full-service communications firm in Lafayette, CA with extensive experience creating effective, innovative, multimedia campaigns for clients of all kinds. Our staff is large enough to serve our clients’ needs, yet small enough that we feel like family—a distinction we extend to clients as well. We opened 35 years ago with a handful of accounts, most of which are still with us today. We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Art Director who enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Qualified candidates must have: • Expertise in Adobe CS5 Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) • Excellent mechanical and file preparation skills • Knowledge about print production Highly desirable candidates will have: • Experience in executing a campaign idea across various mediums - including print ads, online banner ads, web pages, direct mail pieces, collateral design and identity • Excellence in developing and executing an idea from creative concept to final execution stage • The ability to produce great work with minimal supervision and within tight timelines • Experience working within an Agency/ Design Shop environment desirable • Proficiency in WordPress and ability to program banner and email marketing a plus Qualifications: • BA (concentration in Graphic Design a plus) or equivalent • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar environment (agency, printer, design studio or internal communications dept.)
