Director, Graphic Design Studio

Avalara Durham, North Carolina

Together with leaders of our Marketing Content Team, our Video team, and our Corporate Events Team, you will be the leader of the Brand Marketing Team. This role will be based out of our Durham, NC office. Qualifications • Minimum 10 years experience as a graphic designer/art director, creative director, and people manager • Full proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud • Full proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint • Tech savvy: • * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including asynchronous collaboration using SharePoint and OneDrive), Google Workspace and Google Drive • Proficient in the Abode Creative Cloud • Familiarity and strong working knowledge of project management tools (Jira, Workfront) • Experience working with team collaboration and planning tools, like Slack and Brandfolder • Demonstrated ability to manage and direct resources across geographies and time zones • Strong project management skills, including meeting deadlines through effective prioritization • Strategic marketing work experience (focus on B2B) • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work well independently and collaborate effectively with a team • Ability to prioritize projects, work effectively with stakeholders, and complete tasks by meeting timelines and goals • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and Avalara reserves the right to modify or change these benefits programs at any time, with or without notice, unless otherwise required by law.
