This appointment is anticipated to begin on June 1, 2025 and run through October 15, 2026 with the possibility of reappointment based on funding, performance, and institutional priorities.This position reports to the associate director of marketing & communications and works closely with the executive director and other team members to support the College's marketing and branding initiatives.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Print & Multimedia Designer creates engaging marketing materials for print and digital platforms, ensuring brand consistency across projects. Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing & Communications, the designer must be versatile, supporting various office initiatives and collaborating with stakeholders to meet deadlines.Responsibilities:Design visually engaging marketing materials for print and digital platforms, including brochures, flyers, signage, social media assets and advertising campaigns.Maintain and enforce brand consistency across all design projects while accommodating the needs of various stakeholders.Create templates and style guides to streamline branded design processes.Design, update, and manage digital signage to ensure visual engagement and consistency with the College's branding.Create executive-level presentations, focusing on clarity, visual appeal and brand consistency, while adapting content and style for specific audiences.Oversee the design, layout and production of printed materials, including event programs, direct mail pieces and promotional items.Prepare print-ready files and coordinate with vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery.Design graphics for web use, ensuring compatibility and optimization across platforms.Assist with website updates and digital marketing initiatives as needed.Design and manage electronic newsletters, ensuring visual appeal and readability.Assist with writing tasks on an as-needed basis, ensuring messaging is clear, concise and aligned with the College's goals.Work closely with internal clients and stakeholders from concept to final execution, providing creative guidance and solutions.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring high-quality output.Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in graphic design and higher education marketing.Support social media campaigns by writing, scheduling posts, creating engaging graphics and identifying areas to enhance visibility and engagement aligned with the College's brand.Contribute to the overall work of the marketing & communications office by staying up to date on ongoing projects, campaigns, and initiatives.Work within cloud-based platforms for file sharing and collaboration.Perform other related duties as assigned to support the goals of the Office of Marketing & Communications.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications or a related field.Minimum of three years of professional design experience, preferably in higher education, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud.Experience designing for print, digital and web platforms.Familiarity with Canva for creating branded templates.Familiarity with email marketing platforms for designing newsletters.Knowledge of digital signage design and best practices.Experience with cloud-based file management and collaboration tools.Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.Excellent attention to detail and ability to balance creativity with strategy.Willingness and ability to support the team on time-sensitive projects.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS2+ years working in a higher-education setting.Experience with web content management systems and basic knowledge of web design.Background in higher education marketing or nonprofit design work.Photography or video editing skills.Familiarity with accessibility standards for digital and print design.Additional Information:The Print and Multimedia Designer is a Full-time, temporary position with an expected duration of June 1st 2025 - October 15, 2026.
