Our research team conducts studies on various topics including increasing the rates of successful implementation of Evidence Based Practices, improving the relationships of staff and families involved in the child welfare system, and improving the outcomes for families referred to the child welfare system for parental substance abuse. The Editorial Assistant will work closely with scientists and project staff and is responsible for day-to-day editorial activities, including assistance with manuscript and grant submissions, editing intervention manuals and promotional materials. • Assists project staff with the development/design/creation of meeting materials, certificates, newsletters, brochures, and other standard reports using Microsoft Word/PowerPoint/Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and other software as needed • Tracks manuscript status and correspondence, and uploads final publications to appropriate internal (OSLC) and external databases and websites • Maintains updates to vita and bio-sketch materials for PIs and Co- Is • Creates and edits PowerPoint presentations for the PIs and Co-Is • Tracks reference library used by PIs and Co-Is using Endnote or other reference- tracking software • Organizes and maintains multiple hardcopy and electronic filing systems To thrive in this role, you will: • Have an interest in the research team’s scientific and implementation work • Have excellent writing and editing skills • Have strong social and time management skills • Have excellent communication and problem solving skills • Have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with research team and clinical staff Requirements: • BA/BS degree with coursework appropriate to the position and 2 years related experience OR equivalent combination of training and experience appropriate to the position • Must be able to provide proof of full Covid-19 Vaccination, may be granted religious or medical exemption with proper documentation.
