A candidate for this position should also be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. A top candidate should be able to improve the quality of display type while making grammar corrections on deadline. • Ad placement: Work with the advertising makeup department to coordinate ad placements in coordination with editorial print production. • 1–3 years of experience in newspaper or editorial design (internships included), with evidence of strong news judgment in design samples or previous work.
