Must have machine (CNC preferably) or Graphic Design software (we use Corel Graphics Suite) experience. We work no weekends or evenings, have a SIMPLE IRA with company match, employees get our products at cost, and free use of machines for personal work (on personal time); it's a fun, fast-paced, environment and a 7 year old chocolate lab as company wellness director. We are here from 9 am to 5pm, Monday thru Thursday (while work is slow due to the virus – normally 8 m- 5 M –F) no working nights or weekends! An ideal candidate: • Has enough experience to be comfortable learning to operate a variety of machinery o We use CNC engraving machines, a laser engraving machine, sand carving unit, heat press and specialty printers as well as more basic power tools on a daily basis • Has strong computer skills, big plus for any graphic design experience o Here at VAE we use the CorelDraw Suite or EngraveLab for nearly all our work – we will train you but experience with computer graphics programs really is a must o Knowing the difference between raster and vector images is big! • Attention to fine detail o Many of the things we work on are easy to damage if one rushes and gets sloppy, which can end up with an expensive piece in the trash.
