Write Impressions, the premier stationery and gift store in downtown Royal Oak, MI for more than 30 years, is looking for someone to join our graphic design team. The position will require you to be creative and hands on in the production process of custom invitations, menus, wedding programs, and more! Training starts immediately upon hiring with 15-20 hours per week, with the goal of becoming full-time in the Fall. Requirements & Skills: • Software/Programs: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) required • A strong work ethic • Professional communication skills (oral & written) • Easy going, friendly & enthusiastic personality • Team player & professional attitude at all times • 1-2 Saturday shifts per month Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: • Designing and typesetting • Preparing and sending files to outsource printers • Printing stationery and envelopes in house • Copyediting address lists • Consulting with clients about design, etiquette, and more • Answering customer emails & phone calls related to proofing and production matters This is primarily a graphic design position, but you will be required to help in the shop as well, assisting customers, ringing sales, answering the phone, etc.
