Fantagraphics Social Media & Events Manager

Fantagraphics is currently looking to hire a new Social Media and Events Manager. Full-time, 5-day/40-hour week, flexible schedule Medical benefits, 401(k) with employer match Option for some telecommuting, but would need to be based in/near Seattle Salary dependent on experience Responsibilities Include: > Updating and maintaining Fantagraphics’ Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, > YouTube and various other social media accounts on a daily basis with > engaging original content, press, events, and special promotions > Overseeing social media account design and maintaining cross-platform > continuity > Staying up-to- date with current technologies and trends in social media and > apps > Staying current with books/comics news outlets and online comics reader > community > Tracking social media engagement and setting goals to increase audience > reach and engagement > Collaborating with Marketing and e-Commerce Team members to generate and > implement new sales and marketing initiatives to increase e-commerce sales > and profitability > Writing creative, original copy for blog posts, monthly newsletters, ads, > sales promotions, etc. > Working closely with Design Team to create print and digital promotional > assets > Coordinating strategies with corporate partners to promote licensed > properties > Create and manage promotions and online ad campaigns for sales and special > events > Engaging directly with Fantagraphics’ artists in friendly and professional > manner to plan events and online promotion > Acting as liaison with retailers, festival and convention organizers and > other events professionals when organizing artist events or festival > attendance > Organizing and overseeing events logistics including program scheduling, > supply maintenance, shipping, and on-the-ground troubleshooting for > festivals and conventions > Traveling in person to festivals and conventions to represent Fantagraphics, > support artists, and manage retail operations on the ground, generally on > weekends Job Skills: > A basic familiarity with Fantagraphics’ brand identity, our major artists, > and the wider world of independent comics is essential > Demonstrated expertise with all major social media platforms and online > marketing channels > Excellent interpersonal skills required > Ability to work independently and creatively > Excellent written and verbal communication skills + copywriting experience > Ability to multitask, prioritize, meet deadlines and to be proactive and > organized > Proficiency with Shopify, Google Analytics, Microsoft Office, Google > Workspace, Mailchimp and Hootsuite (or comparable social media management > platform) is desired > Strong graphic sensibility is desired, and any graphic design background > and/or proficiency with Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator a plus > Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds To Apply: In addition to your resume, please include a cover letter and send to jobs@fantagraphics.com.
