Freelance Digital Designer

Fox Sports/Big Ten Network is seeking a remote Freelance Digital Designer to support live West Coast Big Ten social media coverage from September through May. The role centers on producing timely, accurate digital graphics for ongoing daily posting needs.Role Overview This freelance position supports the Digital Department with production and delivery of digital graphics for live event coverage. Work includes designing graphics for BTN social channels and creating supporting assets for B1G+ marketing communications, along with You Tube thumbnail art intended to improve visibility and engagement.ResponsibilitiesSupport West Coast live event coverage by updating existing templates and assets to produce graphics for BTN social channels, emphasizing timely delivery, accurate information, and effective creative decisions.Provide flexible design support for frequent, close collaboration with the Digital department's live posting team.Create custom, high-impact thumbnail art for BTN's You Tube channels to help video content stand out across Home/Search/Browse/Suggested features and encourage clicks.Design thumbnails for features and specialized content including "The Journey" and the "Crossover" series, with the potential to expand production and refresh thumbnails for key sports highlights and weekly recurring studio programming.Produce marketing communications artwork for BTN's direct-to-consumer streaming platform, B1G+, focused on templated, platform-specific assets that support the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) team.RequirementsAt least 2 years of experience producing digital graphic content, comfortable with the speed of daily design production.Production and editing experience with intercollegiate athletics programs or professional sports teams.Ability to work flexible hours , including regular evenings and weekends.Demonstrated ability to meet strategic deadlines in a dynamic environment.Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail, proactive working habits, and teamwork.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and other graphics production tools.Deep knowledge of Big Ten Athletics and familiarity with Big Ten Network programming, talent, and brand initiatives.Affinity for pop culture and emerging trends, particularly on You Tube and video-first platforms.Location and Employment DetailsLocation: Los Angeles, CA (remote)Job Type: FreelanceSchedule Window: September through MayCompensation: USD 25-30 per hourTools and TechnologiesAdobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)PhotoshopIllustrator
