Our client, a well-known insurance agency, is looking for a freelance Graphic Designer to join their NYC team. This is a 40 hour per week hybrid onsite / remote position (onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and remote on Mondays + Fridays).This role requires more than simple production execution. You'll bring strong design judgment to elevate marketing assets while working confidently within an established brand framework. You'll operate with independence, maintain close alignment with stakeholders, and ensure all work supports broader business objectives.The Graphic Designer will:Produce high-quality materials using established templates and approved component libraries, including pitch decks, product brochures, fund fact sheets, flyers, and digital and event collateralApply sound design judgment within the brand system to ensure consistent use of typography, color, imagery, and layoutAdapt designs to channel-specific best practices, including ad sizing, file constraints, and accessibility requirements, while maintaining brand consistencyManage multiple concurrent requests by prioritizing effectively and communicating proactively in partnership with a project managerMaintain organized file structures, naming conventions, and version control throughout the engagementCollaborate with the Head of Brand & Creative, Director of Creative Services, and Senior Art Director on quality review, escalating edge cases or inconsistencies as neededPrepare files for final output, including print-ready PDFs and required digital formatsThe Graphic Designer has:3+ years of graphic design experience, ideally within financial services, asset management, or another regulated, compliance-focused industryProven experience designing for sophisticated, high-end audiences within a premium brand environmentAbility to work efficiently and independently, exercising strong judgment around imagery, color, and visual hierarchy while adhering to strict brand standardsDemonstrated capacity to manage high-volume output across multiple materials and timelines without sacrificing qualityExceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skillsExpert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and PhotoshopSolid understanding of digital design specifications across social and display channels, including platform constraints and UX/UI best practicesExperience with Figma preferred; familiarity with Canva or Adobe Express is a plusIn this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information.
