The ideal candidate will understand and appreciate the importance of integrating fundraising, communications, and community engagement and will enthusiastically embrace the mission and culture of the Dance Palace. Three years minimum of fundraising and communications experience in a non-profit environment, with the ability to work collaboratively with a strong staff, board, and committee team is required. • Generous benefits package **DATA MANAGEMENT** • Database management and maintenance to ensure data integrity: Consolidate duplicate records, audit data entry for accuracy, update records and system additions • Manage gift and pledge processing, tracking, and acknowledgments • Manage appeals and giving campaigns • Prepare mailing lists for appeals, events, and other mailings • Prepare reports for the development committee, staff, and board • Work with bookkeeper on monthly financial reconciliation as needed • Other duties as needed **DONOR IDENTIFICATION, STEWARDSHIP, AND CULTIVATION** • Work collaboratively with the Development Committee to implement the goals and strategies of the Fundraising and Communications Plan • Support the Executive Director and Development Committee to develop and execute donor cultivation and stewardship activities such as connecting with community members and hosting events designed to engage and inform Dance Palace donors • Conduct donor prospecting and research existing donors, both individuals and businesses • Send donor acknowledgment letters and thank you notes promptly **COMMUNICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY** • Implement the Dance Palace's Communications Strategies as outlined in the Fundraising and Communications Plan • Responsible for content-writing of all fundraising-related communications • Coordinate and create content for annual report: curate content, text & photos in collaboration with Executive Director and Development Committee • Develop social media strategy for fundraising and communications (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) • Produce member/donor/community communications as appropriate • Write content for fundraising communications in collaboration with program staff for production of e-newsletters • Review and edit content to ensure communications across programs and platforms project a consistent message and branding • Maintain fundraising and communications-related website content & support site development with an external web developer • Manage small graphic design projects, for emails, social media, event invitations, newsletters, etc., interfacing with contract graphic designers, copywriters as project complexity requires • Send personalized invitations for all major events to major donors • Organize, maintain and build digital photo library to complement communications needs • Assist with event preparation and special projects • Facilitate interactive Zoom/webinar meetings • Other duties as needed **OTHER KEY PROJECTS** • Collaborate with Executive Director to secure sponsors for ad hoc special events • Serve as staff coordinator of annual Community Awards Banquet (CAB) fundraiser (50th anniversary celebration instead this year) • Plan and implement annual major donor party • Develop and coordinate key house events, averaging 10 per year, with other staff **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)** • 3+ years fundraising and communications experience with a non-profit organization or business • 'Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience working with organizations that engage all ages and backgrounds • High level of attention to detail, with the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize to meet deadlines • Demonstrated commitment to data quality and accuracy • Strong command of Microsoft Office and Google Suite; • Skilled in social media and online communication platforms • Experience implementing digital marketing campaigns • 3+ years experience using CRM and managing a donor database system required • Ability to work on tight timelines • Exceptional interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, committees, staff, and community • Use of sound judgment and willingness to ask for help • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, juggling short and long-term tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment • Desire to work in a small team environment • Ability and willingness to work some evenings and weekends • Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred • Graphic design experience a plus • Ability to work at the Dance Palace when safe COVID-19 conditions permit, with an option for partial continued remote work **WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR** • A high level of self-awareness, cultural competence, and emotional intelligence; optimistic, creative and resourceful. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
