Salary Range: $23.20 - $28.90 Hourly

Why Join Us?: The Graphic Designer I will support our in-house design team with creating final art for printed materials, large format graphics, print, and online ads. In addition, the Graphic Designer I is expected to sharpen and increase their design skills by working with members of the design team on a range of projects. This position collaborates with and reports to the Associate Director, Brand and Design.

Pay: The hiring salary range for the position is $23.20-28.90 per hour based on experience.

This position is based at the Denver Art Museum, which only has a pay-to-park option. What You’ll Do Develop best practices for precise production files for printed materials, large format graphics, and print and online ads, while meeting deadlines and other specifications

Own assigned design projects, including onsite signage (print and digital), advertisements (print and digital) and large format graphics, from creative request through completion

Offer input in creative meetings and proactively share ideas related to design and marketing projects

Actively pursue design team members’ feedback in support of continuous growth and skill development

Support the team throughout the execution of campaigns and projects, as requested

Understand and work within brand guidelines

Process and respond effectively to creative direction

Work directly with our in-house Project Coordinator to ensure that jobs are completed and ready to go in a timely manner

Qualifications Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, and MS Office

Enthusiasm and interest in the design process from initial concept to finished product

The motivation to maintain and improve design standards

Ability to receive and process feedback for improvement and growth

Experience in video editing software

Experience in Adobe After Effects or other motion graphics software

Experience with shooting original photography

Minimum 2-year degree in graphic design or art (B.A. Up to 2 years of experience working in graphic design

Work Environment Sitting, working with hands, working with fingers, talking, hearing, vision
