Graphic Artist 2 (User Experience)

Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a Graphic Artist 2 opportunity for our customer in Los Alamos, NM to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory. and the ability to conceptualize, design, and deliver best-in-class responsive web products across devices; experience creating visual assets optimized for web publishing; demonstrated ability to distill complex information and requirements into elegant and intuitive designs; demonstrated knowledge of graphic design, branding, typography, iconography, illustration, animation, photo editing, data visualization, infographics, or interactive graphics; an understanding of web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript... and best practices, and ability to deliver production-ready UI designs; experience working on a product team and/or directly with web developers and content creators; experience designing UIs and conducting UX research for web applications and online forms; in-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (we use Adobe XD for UI design), thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and working knowledge of other relevant design software (e.g., interactive, 3D modeling, animation, data visualization, etc. Collaboration is critical in this position, so you will need experience working as a productive member of an interdisciplinary team, including the demonstrated ability to develop solutions for a wide range of complex design problems while effectively networking with peers inside and outside the organization. In this role, you must have a demonstrated ability to analyze stakeholder and user needs and determine the structure, content, and format of communication products that best meet those needs.
