Scott Family Amazeum Overview
The Scott Family Amazeum is a hands-on, interactive museum in Northwest Arkansas and recognized as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. We create a fun environment where risk taking, imagining, problem solving, discovery, collaboration, and exploration bring children and adults together to learn and grow.
Amazeum Mission: To engage the imagination of children and their families through interactive exhibits, programs, and resources while creating an excitement for lifelong learning and the enrichment of lives.
Through experiences with the Amazeum, individuals and the community are engaged in building relationships and developing identities as creative, curious, and innovative shapers for the region. Learning at the Amazeum is an active, playful exploration that inspires curiosity. It is rooted in inquiry-based discovery and involves an element of risk. Hands-on learning opportunities allow guests to exercise critical thinking in the context of play.
The Amazeum facility includes approximately 50,000 square feet of indoor space and one acre of outdoor exhibition and activity space. The museum is located at the intersection of Museum Way and J Street in Bentonville, AR.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Creative Manager, the Graphic Artist will be responsible for the organization and production of marketing materials (digital and print) including brochures, signage, online ads, branded products and promotional materials etc. working cross departmentally to ensure that all assets produced across organization align with brand guidelines. The Graphic Artist will also work with exhibit team to design exhibit and wayfinding signage and museum graphical treatments as needed. They will help manage workflow of projects requested from various departments that may be fulfilled internally or through third parties.
The Graphic Artist works closely with the Sr. Marketing and Communications team, Development team, and front-line guest service and education team members as well as Amazeum guests, VIPS, partners and third party vendors.
Essential Functions
Design and create digital and print assets, including but not limited to brochures, flyers, posters, digital and print advertising, newsletters, website and signage
Work with internal team, independently and with design firm to conceive, design and implement graphics while maintaining graphic consistency across organizational projects.
Build and manage photography archive by taking, editing and organizing photos ensuring that proper permissions have been given by subjects
Maintain digital graphics assets consistent with brand identity
Coordinate estimates and production work with appropriate vendors
Manage marketing material requests and work flow ensuring that all deadlines are met
Assist with website maintenance and social media updates as needed
Assist with photography assignments as needed

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Currently pursuing BA in Graphic Arts, Design, Marketing OR related field OR 1+ year in graphic design and production work may be substituted
6+ mos experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
6+ mos photo editing skills
6+ mos experience creating/manipulating graphics
Basic knowledge of HTML and content management systems
Strong organizational and project management skills
Strong communication skills verbal and written

Must be willing to submit to a background check.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to move 20 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 40 pounds
May be required to kneel, squat, or stand for extended periods of time to capture pictures and video
Ability to travel to and from work sites
Ability to work in environment with moderate to excessive noise
Ability to work in large crowds onsite and offsite
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts, Design, Marketing, Photography, Multimedia Production, Web Communication
2+ years experience with Adobe Cloud
2+ years complex video editing and photo editing skills
2+ year HTML and content management systems
2+ years website design and CMS software
Strong time management and problem-solving skills
Experience with Basecamp or Project Management Software
Professional experience crafting and adhering to branding guidelines
Ability to think critically, prioritize and problem solve quickly
Self-motivated and able to work both autonomously but in a highly collaborative environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Bilingual skills
