Graphic Artist I (TEMP)

This opportunity is for a creative, organized, team-oriented person with graphic design skills to create high-impact materials that encourage sustainable behavior among students, faculty, staff, and visitors at U-M. Required Qualifications* • Graduation from high school, supplemented by technical training in graphic design, illustration, and fine art work • At least 1 year of work experience in graphic design • Comfort with Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop • Knowledge of graphic design fundamentals such as layouts, typography, and color • Clean, simple, effective design approach • Ability to solicit and respectfully respond to feedback • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to communicate and work with a diverse range of people of various social, cultural, economic, and ethnic backgrounds • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team The Office of Campus Sustainability seeks to recruit and retain a diverse workforce as a reflection of our commitment to serve the diverse people of Michigan, to sustain the excellence of the university, and to offer our students richly varied disciplines, perspectives, and ways of knowing and learning.
