Graphic Artist Internship

This role is part of our Systems Innovation Engineering (SIE) division, which specializes in readiness and logistics, autonomous platforms, and sensor technologies. Craft motion graphics and ensure implementation by software engineers is solid.Design for desktop-based and/or tablet-based UIs.Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with software engineers and other stakeholders.Illustrate design ideas to product stakeholders using mockups as needed.Provide feedback to software engineers as designs are implemented to ensure user experience is cohesive and accurate.Regularly workshop efforts with the Creative Director and the Creative Operations team to maintain a cohesive design and user experience of the digital product.Leverage design thinking and questioning techniques to develop strategies where pathways are not clear.Performs other duties as assigned. Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree.Working knowledge and skill in design tools, for example, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects, and/or other Adobe Creative Suite products, as well as optional (but not required; see Preferred below) prototyping tool like Sketch, Figma, Balsamic, etc.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts clearly and persuasively across audiences at various levels of understanding.Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.Ability to work with other designers and developers to implement new ideas.Currently holds an active U.S. national security clearance or be able to receive and maintain one. Positions that require this access will be required to receive and maintain a U.S. government personnel security clearance (PCL). In order to qualify for this position, the candidate must be a US Citizen and either currently possess this National Security eligibility or be able to complete the investigation application process with a favorable determination and maintain that eligibility throughout their employment.
