They report to the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications and, collaborate on plans to ensure timelines and goals are met.Core ResponsibilitiesGraphic Content Production 50%Ensure all designs are consistent with brand guidelines and tone Ensure inclusive participation in mock-up review, feedback loops and approval processes Create visual assets for internal communications including email headers, letterhead templates, presentation templates, sponsor/donor materials, and reports Build brand kits for programs and recurring events including assets, templates and logos, sourcing from contractors or stock sites where necessary Assemble accessible brand kits & templates for programs and segments in Canva Compose graphic content from existing assets, photography, illustrations and graphic art where appropriate Design and compose print materials for programs including palm cards, posters, and brochures Design and compose print materials for clinical services including palm cards, posters, and brochures Produce branded designs for merchandise such as t-shirts, mugs, magnets, stickers, etc. Design and compose sexual education booklets and pamphletsSocial Media 30%Collaborate with the Social Media & Content Coordinator to design and produce platform specific graphic content for Instagram, LinkedIn and 1-2 other social media platforms including posts, carousels, interactive reels, surveys/polls Collaborate with team members on campaign visuals, digital storytelling, and content planning Use campaign plans and event calendars to prioritize projects Update designs for recurring posts such as hiring and monthly events in a timely manner Track engagement and suggest strategies to boost engagement across platforms Support draft copy writing for social media as requested by Associate Director of Marketing and Communications and Social Media & Content Coordinator Ensure consistent and accurate information and feedback loops for digital campaignsOutreach & Documentation 20%Attend outreach events as requested by supervisor Attend scheduled outreach with mobile unit (ASHwell on Wheels) Document community engagement: snap, capture, live stream, record ASHwell events as appropriate, highlighting organizational and staff presence and service to community Acquire and ensure consent from participants & community members for use of photos of videos Build and manage shared drive folder of documented eventsBaseline – 10%Participate in all required staff / team meetings and retreats Maintain up-to-date calendar and work plan Utilize organization wide systems and protocols for all organizational business Prepare and attend weekly check-ins with supervisor Adhere to all ASHwell cultural and operational guidelines and policiesRequired Qualifications2+ years producing culturally relevant or specific content for digital marketing Demonstrated proficiency in Canva and Adobe Photoshop Strong understanding of layout, typography, color, and visual hierarchy Strong ability to receive feedback and iterate on design work Attention to detail, especially in translating brand identity into consistent assets Comfortable working with explicitly sexual topics in a respectful and affirming way Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Prior experience producing content for social media platforms and mass email marketing platforms Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Teams, Word, Excel, OneDrive, PowerPoint Lives in Austin, TX or within the greater Austin Metro Area or within 50 miles of ASHwell headquarters at 3800 Red River In depth understanding of gender and sexual orientation spectrums High comfort level working in a pro-pleasure, pro-sex, pro-kink and pro-queer environment Baseline understanding of Harm Reduction and need for HIV de-stigmatization Alignment with ASHwell values of race and gender justice, sexual and reproductive health equityPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in graphic design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent portfolio and work experience) Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Prior experience leading a branding project Understanding of accessibility best practices in design (hearing/visually impaired) Prior experience producing content for nonprofit organizationsAbout YouASHwell’s Graphic Content Production Specialist is an experienced design whiz who can balance our need for quality, brand aligned content with a steady pace of output for upcoming and backlogged content production needs.
