JOB TITLE: Graphic Designer Scope of Services: The scope of the proposed services will include, but are not limited to, the following: • Meet with State staff to determine the scope of a project • Advise State on strategies to reach a particular audience • Determine the message the design should portray • Create images that identify a product or convey a message • Develop graphics for logos and websites • Select colors, images, text style, and layout • Present the design to State • Incorporate changes recommended by the State into the final design • Review designs for errors before printing or publishing • Ensure coding standards are met; optimize web architectures for navigability and accessibility • Utilize specialized graphic design software to prepare designs • Stay up to date with the latest software and computer technologies • Plan site design by clarifying goals and designing functionality • Develop site navigation by categorizing content and directing traffic • Coordinate with copywriters and graphic artists for site content and graphics • Prepare site with server software installation and configuration; ensure cross-platform compatibility • Register site with search engines • Maintain and upgrade site with updated content and new technology • Design and install security features • Enforce content and display standards • Analyze and summarize data and trends for reporting Mandatory Expertise/Experience: • Bachelor s degree • Experience with Adobe CS Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, HTML, etc.) to the selected contractor.
