Responsibilities Deliver instruction in graphic design, digital media, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and related softwareTeach youth in small group residential and alternative education settingsDevelop engaging, hands on projects focused on branding, digital illustration, marketing materials, photography, video production, and multimedia designIntroduce students to creative technology career pathways and workforce readiness skillsMaintain accurate attendance, instructional, and student progress recordsFoster a positive and structured classroom environment utilizing trauma informed and restorative practicesCollaborate with educational staff, residential personnel, behavioral support teams, and administratorsSupport students in developing portfolios and creative projects that demonstrate skill growth and achievementEnsure safe and responsible use of technology and digital resourcesTravel to residential facilities throughout the state of Connecticut as assignedRequirements Adobe Certified Professional certification or related industry credentialsExperience teaching graphic design, multimedia production, photography, animation, or digital artsExperience in residential, behavioral health, juvenile justice, or alternative education settingsKnowledge of trauma informed educational practices and restorative approachesExperience with project based learning, makerspaces, or workforce development programmingFamiliarity with video editing, social media content creation, branding, and digital storytelling
