Role Description

This part-time Graphic Design Artist role is a hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA, with a combination of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. The Graphic Design Artist will create visual assets that support campaigns, educational materials, social media, and events, ensuring consistent and compelling representation of the organization’s mission.

Day-to-day tasks include designing graphics for print and digital channels, developing logos and brand elements, selecting and refining typography, and preparing files for production or online use. The role also involves collaborating with campaign leads and communications staff to translate complex ideas into clear, accessible visuals, adapting designs based on feedback, and maintaining organized design files and templates.

Qualifications

Strong visual design skills in Graphics and Graphic Design, with a portfolio demonstrating work across print and digital media.Experience in Logo Design and Branding, including creating or evolving cohesive visual identities.Proficiency in Typography, including font selection, layout, and readability for both long-form and short-form content.Proficient in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or equivalent) and basic file preparation for web and print.Ability to interpret creative briefs, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.Strong communication skills and openness to feedback from diverse team members and stakeholders.Interest in or familiarity with social justice, labor rights, or sustainable agriculture is preferred.Relevant education or equivalent professional experience in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field.
