Graphic Design Assistant

You must be local to help develop on-site content. We are looking for a Graphics Assistant with multi-tasking skills and a desire to stay up to date with the latest creative trends. ** This is a part-time job to start with the potential of picking up more hours if it is a good fit or you are an ideal candidate. **Requirements:** *Graphic design experience(1-3 years) *Amazing organizational and note-taking skills *Excellent written and verbal communication skills *Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator *Ability to capture our brand and create compelling visual material *Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas with team members in a collaborative way *Knowledge of social media platforms, image formats and sizes, especially for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest *Layout design skills and printing knowledge *Know the difference when creating for print vs web *Willingness to do projects outside of job scope when needed *Google Drive expertise *A good attitude and a sense of humor *Patience and the ability to take constructive criticism is essential in working to create designs that everyone is happy with *Quick learning abilities *Ability to meet hard deadlines *A degree or current enrollment in a design/marketing/UI/UX or related field program **Duties:** *Work alongside marketing manager/lead graphics to develop top quality content *Generate original print material (including brochures, postcards, flyers, signage, etc.) *Create original graphics assets for video as needed *Contribute ideas for new marketing plans and brand development *Create original copy for email campaigns, social media, and other media *Photograph and/or film events, people, or products as needed *Build connections with current clients, target audience, and the community through graphics *Assist in any additional marketing office duties as needed *Keep track of KPI’s for social media, email campaigns, and other duties **Gold star if you know (in order of importance):** Photography and photo editing WordPress Buffer SEO and marketing best practices Mindbody Online HTML Video editing website management Asana **Please respond with the following:** *Your approximate location (we are looking for candidates LOCAL to Santa Cruz County only) *A brief paragraph about what makes you the missing piece of our team *Resume *Samples of your work (e.g. portfolio, graphic content, website, etc) *Availability and desired # of hours of work per week *Desired hourly wage
