Graphic Design Assistant

Mid-Valley Engineering (MVE) is a full-service land development firm providing civil engineering, land surveying, and development solutions throughout California and the western United States. With over five decades of experience, our team works on a wide range of residential, commercial, industrial, and public infrastructure projects.

We are seeking a Graphic Design Assistant to support our Graphics and Marketing Department. This role will work closely with our Graphic Designer and business development team to create marketing materials, manage digital content, and help maintain our brand presence across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in creating marketing materials including brochures, proposals, flyers, and digital collateral
• Develop graphics for social media, email campaigns, and marketing presentations
• Support the design and layout of proposals and marketing documents
• Help maintain company branding across print and digital materials
• Assist with website updates and social media content
• Prepare presentation materials and templates
• Design infographics and visual content to support marketing initiatives
• Coordinate and prepare materials for conferences, networking events, and exhibits
• Assist with photography, photo editing, and basic videography when needed
• Create mockups and coordinate ordering of branded company merchandise
• Help mount and prepare large presentation boards and displays
• Ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule

Required Skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Acrobat)
• Experience creating graphics for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, etc.)
• Presentation development (PowerPoint or Google Slides)
• Microsoft Office experience (Word formatting, Creating Spreadsheet in Excel, proposals, templates)
• Experience with website platforms or CMS systems (Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, etc.)
• Basic copywriting and marketing content development

Experience
• Graphic design, marketing, or related field experience preferred
• Strong portfolio demonstrating relevant design work

Qualifications
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback effectively
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Interest in staying current with design trends and marketing practices

Preferred Qualifications
• Photography and photo editing experience
• Videography and video editing experience
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS
• Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, iContact, etc.)
• Willingness to attend occasional project site visits, events, or networking functions

Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour
