Graphic Design Assistant (Subcontractor)

This position supports is heavily focused in website design, producing private label food packaging, social media content, along with the sales and marketing materials needed to bring those products to market — with all work reviewed and approved by the lead designer before finalization.

A strong candidate is someone who is technically sharp, keeps up with evolving tools and platforms, and can manage multiple projects and product information simultaneously.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Create & design from scratch websites specifically using WordPress, GoDaddy, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHPDraft label artwork to FDA / CFIA standards for review and approvalCreate sales materials (sell sheets, catalogues) under direction of lead designerHelp produce social media content; identify relevant trends, holidays, and festivals for timely postsAssist in video production and product photoshoots for social mediaDocumentation, filing, and printing of label and digital filesAssist with broader marketing initiatives as neededRequired Qualifications:

Experience building websites using one or more of WordPress, GoDaddy, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHPPost-secondary education in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field — or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experienceStrong eye for design, aesthetics, and current visual trendsSome experience in print and label designComfortable with social media platforms and contemporary content formatsProficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, and Microsoft OfficeTechnically adaptable — expected to learn and adopt new software as the industry evolvesMust have own laptop and valid software licensesMust be able to commute to the work location Monday to FridayFamiliarity with AI content generation toolsPhotography experienceJob Type: Subcontract | Full-time hours, Mon–Fri | On-site

Pay: $18.15-$20.00 per hour
