Spokane Valley is seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic employee to serve our city as a regular, full-time Communications Specialist (Graphic Design and Digital Content) in our Communications Division. The successful candidate will support the city’s goal of providing regular, timely, clear and accurate information to inform and engage the community and create opportunities to increase community participation and input to inform city decision-making. Education and Experience: (A) Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in graphic design, media production, marketing, communications, public relations or a closely related field; and (B) Minimum of three (3) years previous professional experience desired; or (C) An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge and expertise in a variety of traditional and non-traditional communications platforms including, but not limited to print, web, social media, graphic design, photography, video, Expertise with all forms of social media platforms and knowledge of best practices.
