Graphic Design Intern

Job Title: Marketing and Communications Intern (Graphic Design) Department: RMHC of Central Ohio Marketing & Communications General Description This position is responsible for supporting the Marketing & Communications team through the creation of visual and written content that helps share the mission and impact of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. Throughout the internship, the intern will develop skills in graphic design, brand consistency, and nonprofit communications while collaborating with staff across departments. The intern should demonstrate creativity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Internship Details Internship Dates: Flexible, depending on the student’s needs Location: Ronald McDonald House, 711 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43205 Time Commitment: Approximately 15 hours volunteered per week (The more the better ) Supervisor: Megan Powers, Graphic Designer Compensation: This is an unpaid, volunteer internship opportunity. Intern Responsibilities • Design and update graphics for print and digital platforms, including social media, email campaigns, event signage, and promotional materials • Support marketing and communications efforts by creating visual assets that align with the organization’s brand and voice • Assist with layout, typography, and basic photo editing for marketing materials • Help produce and edit simple video or motion graphics for social media and email communications • Gain hands-on experience with nonprofit branding and visual storytelling while developing new design skills Previous Experience and Skills • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel • Ability to communicate professionally and work collaboratively • Canva and Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred • Interest in marketing, graphic design, or nonprofit communications To apply, please email Megan.P------------ with a resume and cover letter
