Graphic Design Intern, Brand

Job Summary

WebstaurantStore is seeking a Graphic Design Intern (Brand) for 2027 to support the Design team in bringing the visual identity of the WebstaurantStore family of brands to life across customer touchpoints. Working closely with experienced designers, this role contributes to brand-level design projects while gaining hands-on experience in a professional, collaborative design environment.

This role is ideal for a student or emerging designer looking to strengthen their design skills, learn how established brand systems are applied, and gain experience creating work for a large e-commerce brand. The intern will work primarily on clearly defined design assignments and production tasks, with regular guidance, feedback, and mentorship from design managers, as well as senior and mid-level designers.

Remote Work Qualifications

Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.Access to a home router and modem.A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). Responsibilities

Brand Design Support

Assist with the design and production of internal marketing collateral, campaign assets, and other creative materialsApply established brand elements-including logos, color palettes, typography, and visual language-to assigned projects under designer guidanceSupport senior, mid-level, and junior designers with production needs, asset creation, and project revisionsAdapt existing designs and templates for various print and digital applicationsParticipate in select brand projects and campaigns to gain exposure to the broader creative processCollaborate with other creatives on event design ideation, collateral production, and digital support deliverablesUtilize established templates or provided direction to produce executive presentationsBrand Standards & Quality

Learn and follow established brand guidelines and style guidesIncorporate feedback from designers and creative reviews into assigned workReview work for basic accuracy, consistency, and adherence to provided directionAsk questions and seek guidance when project requirements or brand applications are unclearTeam Collaboration & Learning

Collaborate with members of the Design team to complete assigned creative workGain exposure to how the Brand team partners with Marketing, Content, Digital, Packaging, and other teamsParticipate in team meetings, creative reviews, and critiques as appropriateCommunicate progress, questions, and potential roadblocks to supervising designersDevelop an understanding of professional design workflows, feedback processes, and project expectationsFile Management & Process

Maintain organized working files using established naming conventions and versioning practicesPrepare and organize design assets for review and handoffComplete assigned tasks within agreed-upon timelines with support from the design teamLearn and follow established team processes, tools, and asset-management practicesPhysical Requirements

Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.Qualifications

Experience

Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related fieldPortfolio demonstrating foundational graphic design skills through coursework, personal projects, freelance work, or previous internship experienceFamiliarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and FigmaFoundational understanding of typography, color, composition, and layoutStrong attention to detail and willingness to learnAbility to receive, understand, and apply constructive design feedbackGood organizational and communication skillsInterest in brand design and working within established visual systemsAbility to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines with guidanceExperience working in the Microsoft Suite - Word, Powerpoint, ExcelEducation
