Graphic Design Intern (Fall 2025)

We’re looking for a creative, driven design intern to join our team for Fall 2025 (September - November 2025). As a graphic design intern at Middle Seat, you’ll work closely with our design team to support real campaigns and causes with impactful visuals. You’ll get experience in: • Designing graphics for email, social media, and digital ads • Applying brand guidelines to new and existing creative • Building simple animations (GIFs, video loops) and editing video clips • Assisting with print materials like flyers, proposals, and direct mail • Supporting the creative team on larger design projects including identity design and web graphics • Receiving and implementing feedback from designers, strategists, and clients • Collaborating with strategists, developers, and other creatives to deliver cross-platform assets This role is for you if: • You’re excited by the idea of using design to drive progressive change • You enjoy solving visual problems and thinking creatively • You’re comfortable using tools like Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva • You’re detail-oriented, take feedback well, and are always looking to learn • You’re a senior, in your last year of an undergraduate program, or a recent grad It would be nice if you: • Have experience working on design for advocacy, nonprofit, or political projects • Are familiar with Adobe After Effects or other motion design tools • Know how to edit short videos using After Effects or Premiere Pro • Have a working knowledge of accessibility in design • Are interested in UX/UI or web design And it’s essential that you: • Are committed to working for progressive, left-of-center political candidates and causes • Are a team player • Follow the news and understand key progressive issues (i.e. abortion access, racial justice, labor rights, climate action, etc.) We encourage creative-minded individuals with a strong technical aptitude to apply for this position.
