This will be 10-15 hours weekly, preferably onsite at our Milwaukee location with the potential for a full-time summer internship following.The Graphic Design Intern will assist the Human Resources Communications & Talent Brand team at Badger Meter by enhancing the employee experience through Badger Meter internal communication channels. Additionally, the Graphic Design Intern will also support the day-to-day management of the employee intranet site, OneDrop, gaining website management experience.This isn't just an internshipit's a launchpad for someone who's passionate about communication, branding, and elevating the employee experience. As the creative driver of our HR team, you'll have room to explore, experiment, and craft campaigns that resonate across regions.Job Duties:Assist with the development and execution of internal communications including, but not limited to, digital TV screens and company newsletters.Support the employee intranet site, OneDrop, managing day-to-day updates, developing and updating department spaces and identifying opportunities for an optimized user experience.Support the global HR team in developing a global Badger Meter career brand, focused on creating a consistent user experience for both internal and external job applicants on the Badger Meter Careers' website and social media channels.Support both HR and Global Marketing Communications teams to ensure all assets follow Corporate Brand & Style Guidelines.Identify opportunities for improvement that increase employee engagement through communication channels.Support with the set up and launch of the annual global employee engagement survey program.Education and Experience:Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field requiredQualifications:Intermediate computer/technical skills in Microsoft products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel requiredBasic experience using Adobe Creative Cloud Products (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator primarily) requiredStrong oral and written communication skills requiredCompetencies:Collaboration: Work collaboratively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.Communication: Convey information and ideas clearly and concisely to individuals or groups in an engaging manner that helps them understand and retain the message; listen actively to others.Initiating Action: Take prompt action to accomplish work goals; take action to achieve results beyond what is required; be proactive.Work Standards: Setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.Working Conditions:Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment.An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
