The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for providing support for the design team through a variety of channels including print and digital. After completion, the intern will have an understanding of basic design principles, print layouts, web design and pre-press procedures as well as an understanding of advertising and how to make an impact in the world of marketing through design and illustration.Professional skills developed through the 9-week program:Ability to manage time and schedule.Ability to develop relationships and confidence with facing retailers, field, and corporate team members.Capacity to handle numerous tasks and objectives from multiple stakeholders.Understand the needs of the client and organization; deliver results based on objectives.Sharpen your presentation skills by delivering an end of program presentation to your team on your project work, results, and key-take-aways of your internship experience.Meet with Affinitiv Executive Leadership every week for open Q & A sessions for professional coaching and career advice.Essential Functions of a Graphic Designer Intern: Make editorial changes to marketing campaigns.Immerse yourself in communication and manage all of it (teams, emails, work, etc).Constant inter-departmental communication through the agency.Please note, this list of essential functions and job duties is not intended to be all-inclusive and you may be expected to perform other job duties or projects as assigned.Qualifications : Matriculated student, GPA 3.0 or higher preferredCurrently enrolled in a Graphic Design or related degree or certificationRising Junior or SeniorNo work experience necessaryLight experience working with the following software: Proficient in latest version of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.Microsoft Suite of ProductsThink creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layoutsFast learner who can take feedback to adapt design style and graphicsAdaptable able to work in a very fast paced environment, meeting tight deadlines and client required timelinesLegally authorized to work in the United StatesWork from HereAt Affinitiv, we have the best of both worlds.
