As a graphic design intern at Middle Seat, you’ll work closely with our design team to support real campaigns and causes with impactful visuals. This role is available either in person at our Washington, D.C office or remotely. You’ll get experience in: • Designing graphics for email, social media, and digital ads • Applying brand guidelines to new and existing creative • Building simple animations (GIFs, video loops) and editing video clips • Assisting with print materials like flyers, proposals, and direct mail • Supporting the creative team on larger design projects including identity design and web graphics • Receiving and implementing feedback from designers, strategists, and clients • Collaborating with strategists, developers, and other creatives to deliver cross-platform assets This role is for you if: • You’re excited by the idea of using design to drive progressive change • You enjoy solving visual problems and thinking creatively • You’re comfortable using tools like Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva • You’re detail-oriented, take feedback well, and are always looking to learn • You’re a senior, in your last year of an undergraduate program, or a recent grad And it’s essential that you: • Are committed to working for progressive political candidates and causes • Are a team player • Follow along with the news of the day, particularly an understanding of the U.S. political system as well as key progressive issues • Can commit to full-time (40-hour work week) or near full-time availability, with consistent hours each week • Are based in the United States We are intentional with the decidedly left-of-center clients we work with — and we strive to make our work environment and benefits reflect that, including salary transparency, healthy work-life balance, and consistent employee feedback and communication.
