We are currently hiring a Graphic Design & Marketing Intern to assist with social media marketing, traditional marketing, graphic design, and content creation.

About the Position

This is a hands-on internship for someone who wants real experience creating marketing materials for active local businesses. You will work on projects that may include social media graphics, advertisements, print materials, promotional campaigns, and AI-assisted images and content.

You do not need to know everything on your first day. Training will be provided to help you understand our clients, workflow, tools, and expectations. However, you must be motivated, comfortable learning independently, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

This is an on-site position. The selected candidate will be required to work from our office for a minimum of eight hours each week.

Responsibilities

Create graphics and marketing materials for social media campaigns
Assist with the development and scheduling of social media content
Design materials for traditional marketing campaigns, including flyers, advertisements, handouts, and other promotional pieces
Use AI tools to assist with image generation, content creation, brainstorming, and creative development
Adapt designs and messaging for different clients, industries, audiences, and platforms
Make revisions based on feedback from the Agency 716 team and our clients
Help maintain consistency across client branding and marketing materials
Manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment
Research creative ideas, marketing trends, and new tools independently
Support additional marketing projects as needed

Qualifications

The ideal candidate:

Has a strong eye for design, layout, typography, color, and visual hierarchy
Is creative, detail-oriented, and able to recognize when a design needs improvement
Is an independent learner who takes initiative and searches for solutions
Is comfortable receiving direct feedback and revising work
Can manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Is comfortable using AI for image and content creation
Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
Can reliably work on-site for at least eight hours per week

Preferred Experience

Experience using Adobe Photoshop
Experience creating social media graphics or marketing materials
Familiarity with social media platforms and content formats
Experience with AI image-generation or writing tools
A portfolio containing graphic design, social media, advertising, or other creative work

Professional marketing experience is not required. Student, academic, freelance, and personal projects may be included in your portfolio.

Compensation and Schedule

$18-$20 per hour
Minimum commitment of eight hours per week

Weekly schedule to be coordinated based on the candidate’s availability and Agency 716’s needs
