Graphic Design, Product Development & Business Operations Intern

Love drawing, designing, and seeing your ideas turn into real products? Curious about what happens behind the scenes of a creative business? Mess Hall is looking for an intern with a graphic design background and an interest in product development, inventory management, and business operations.

This role combines creative projects with hands-on operational experience. You’ll help create patch and product designs, support the development of new merchandise, and assist with the organization and processes that keep our business moving.

What You’ll Do

Graphic Design & Product Development

Draw and develop original patch and product designs using Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, and other design tools.
Help turn creative concepts into mockups and artwork for production.
Research trends and brainstorm ideas for new products and seasonal collections.
Assist with sample reviews, design revisions, and organizing product details throughout development.

Inventory & Business Operations

Assist with inventory counts, product organization, and stock tracking.
Support order preparation, fulfillment, and product shipments.
Help maintain accurate product information and organized inventory records.
Assist with documenting processes and finding ways to make everyday operations more efficient.
Work alongside our team on projects that connect product design, development, and inventory.

What We’re Looking For

A background in graphic design, illustration, or a related field, with examples of your work.
Experience using Adobe design programs, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop, and Procreate.
An interest in inventory management, product development, and how a business operates.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep files, products, and project information organized.
A willingness to take feedback, revise designs, ask questions, and learn.
Someone who enjoys both creative work and hands-on operational tasks.

What You’ll Learn

You’ll gain experience taking a product from an initial idea through design, sampling, production, and fulfillment. You’ll also learn how inventory and everyday business processes support a growing creative brand.
