Position responsibilities: • Designing graphics and reels for social media that encourage compassion for farmed animals, plant-based eating, attendance of our events, and participation in our fundraising campaigns • Designing webpages using the WordPress Divi theme • Designing event posters and funding proposals • Designing our annual magazine, Minnesota Veg Living, and our Annual Report • Managing social media and increasing engagement with our organization and the channels associated with its programs: Compassionate Action for Animals (@exploreveg), Twin Cities Veg Fest (@tcvegfest), and the Twin Cities Vegan Chef Challenge (@tcveganchefchallenge) • Tracking communications engagement metrics • Managing our Google Ads campaign and using Google Analytics to measure and improve its effectiveness • Collaborating with the publications coordinator to review and edit publications with an eye to marketing • Using tracking pixels and other techniques to create campaigns that engage specific audiences • Using data to create and enact plans to make communications more effective • Supervising and collaborating with volunteers • Supervising the part-time publications coordinator Required skills: • Proven experience developing a brand’s social media engagement • Proven experience in graphic design • Ability to use a variety of online systems • Ability to communicate well both online and in person • A desire to collaborate with both staff and volunteers to improve our programs and make a difference for farmed animals and our community In addition to the compensation and benefits listed above, CAA offers: • Staff meetings and 1:1 meetings where we analyze what is working and how we might improve • Vegan snacks at monthly in-person staff meetings • Opportunities for professional development and position changes • The chance to build relationships with staff members and volunteers who care about making a difference for farmed animals and people in our community • Reimbursement for mileage when working at community events • An annual cost of living raise for employees Please send a cover letter via email to by midnight on July 4 that addresses: • How your experience makes you well-suited to the position responsibilities.
