Graphic Design Supervisor

• Oversees design team conformance with state and federal digital accessibility standards; ensuring all design processes and products are as accessible as possible. Provides brand and accessible design guidance to other visual communications professionals, such as web and geographic information systems staff. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Supervising the graphic design team; • Creating and ensuring the proper use of templates for use by Graphic Designers and organizationwide staff; • Establishing graphic design team practices, procedures and objectives; • Overseeing training and professional development opportunities for the graphic design team; • Assigning, reviewing and approving the work products of the Graphic Designers; • Assisting the Communications Manager with project intake, coordination and approval; • Developing, curating and recommending any expansion of the agency's visual identity. • Practices, concepts and methods of graphic design and print production. Education and Experience • Bachelor's degree in art, graphic design, visual communications or journalism and three to five years of graphic design with print production and layout experience; plus one to three years' supervisory experience.
