Graphic Design & Web/Social Media Coordinator

Part time: 15-25 hours per week )Maintain brand guidelines, train and support design contributors throughout the organization, and ensure consistency and adherence to guidelinesAdhere to JMA’s commitment to quality in all print and online publications by engaging in best practices; accept accountability, with colleagues, for accuracy and timelinessEvaluate performance of print pieces; track results, identify opportunities, provide recommendations and implement plans to achieve strategic organizational goals and objectives with clientsSupport client messaging through design workWork with communications and individual giving managers to tie design to donor engagement messaging and timelinesDesign printed materials (brochures, donor cards, organization collateral, campaign letters, annual reports, newsletters)Design digital outputs (eblasts, e-newsletters)Various social media channels, understanding how channels work and align with target audienceOther duties as assigned:Ownership of JMA office announcements (holiday closures and greetings); outreach list managementList pulls: RE, eTap, client databases, MailChimp and Constant Contact Research audience preferences and discover current trendsCreate engaging image and video contentDesign social media posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new products/programs/eventsStay up-to-date with changes in all in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectivenessSuggest new ways to attract prospective clients/interest in client-related postsDesign web sites and update for JMA and JMA clientsWebsite coding for JMA and JMA clientsWork with content providers to keep sites current and transform information for web audiences; work with content management applicationsCollaborate on design projects and provide project management as needed Participate in strategic communications planning and ensuring that web projects integrate and reflect key communications goals Participate in the development and maintenance of websites created in various web platforms Development experience working with nonprofit organization(s); private and public sector, grant writing/fundraising experience preferredSelf-starter with strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and demonstrated ability to be flexible in work assignments Organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, maintain data maintenance systems, and meet multiple deadlines Excellent writing/editing/drafting skills, research and information compilation skillsExcellent interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with teamsExcellent data and computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, especially excelExpertise in multiple social media platformsIn-depth knowledge of SEO, keyword researchAbility to deliver creative content (image and video)Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channelsAbility to grasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactivelyMultitasking and analytical skills Employees may choose to use their ESST/PTO award for mental or physical illness, treatment or preventative care; a family member’s mental or physical illness, treatment or preventative care; absence due to domestic abuse, sexual assault or stalking of the employee or a family member; death in an employee’s immediate family; closure of the employee’s workplace due to weather or public emergency or closure of a family member’s school or care facility due to weather or public emergency; when determined by a health authority or health care professional that the employee or a family member is at risk of infecting others with a communicable disease; vacation days; and holidays.
