Under the supervision of the Art Director, formulates concepts and executes layout designs for artwork and copy used in packaging, merchandising, and literature (catalogs, sell-sheets, presentation materials, etc.) Manages and maintains files (both electronic and hard copy) for all assigned artwork including packaging, packaging revisions, literature, literature updates, forms, etc. Must be able to follow brand guidelines and customer protocols when necessary. ), advertising and web-based initiatives • Manages and maintains files (both electronic and hard copy) for all company artwork including packaging, packaging revisions, literature, literature updates, forms, etc., for the projects as assigned • Works in conjunction with the Marketing Director, Marketing Coordinator, Product Managers, Sales, and Customers on approval processes • Produces prototype packages (mock-ups) for presentations, trade shows, and as part of the proofing process • Maintains project list, and ensures that projects are completed in a timely manner • Supplies completed electronic art files to vendors • Drives the creative process for all packaging, merchandising, literature, and web-based initiatives, especially those that involve branding as assigned • Works directly with the Marketing Coordinator, Product Managers and Packaging Department under the overall parameters set forth by Senior Marketing Management (VP, Director & New Product Development Manager) to obtain information on projects, and ensures the project’s graphic presentation fits with a positive brand image • Responsible for routing all assigned artwork projects for proper approvals • Reviews/approves/rejects artwork from first article and production samples • Ensures that Prime has up-to-date knowledge of industry software, hardware, processes and technical acumen as relates to design and production of packaging, merchandising, literature and other related activities. Requirements: • Must understand the latest Mac-based graphic software including but not limited to In-Design, Photoshop, & Illustrator • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Bachelor of Arts in Marketing, Advertising, or Graphic Design, preferred • Minimum of 3 years experience • Experience in retail packaging design and production a plus • Understanding of printing processes • Understanding of how to “build” a package and designing for practical production • Ability to accept feedback and edit work with minimal supervision • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills.
